The Elegance Liberty is Lucy Liberty's F-Zero machine debuting in F-Zero: GP Legend. It is another machine that was designed with some of the most advanced F-Zero technology of 2201. It receives stats that appear to be upgraded from others. It sustains a good armored build with an average boost but a strong grip.

The Elegance Liberty becomes available after clearing either Rick Wheeler or Captain Falcon's story modes. It utilizes high acceleration and cornering capabilities while bearing a slow speed.

F-Zero Climax

The Elegance Liberty becomes available after clearing the bronze cup on standard difficulty or higher.

Design and namesake

Design

The Elegance Liberty has a simple design, comparable to a traditional stock racing car. The hood is rounded and the body is rectangular. In the middle is a large rounded canopy. In the very back are vented protrusions with the engines arranged horizontally and a large spoiler. The machine is colored yellow with a black edged red stripe on the spoiler.

Name

The Elegance Liberty combines the words elegance, the quality of being graceful and stylish and liberty, the state of being free within society from oppressive restrictions.

Correlation

The elegance aspect of Elegance Liberty primarily relates to the car's vibrant yellow color and the gender of its driver. The liberty aspect reflects on Lucy's affiliation with the Mobile Task Force and their duty to uphold freedom from evil as well as her last name.

Trivia

  • The Elegance Liberty is the longest sounding machine name in F-Zero with six syllables.
  • It is revealed during the Lady's Race in the anime, the Elegance Liberty has a stash of weapons hidden under the hood.
  • The Elegance Liberty is the only machine to have two different colored numbers: Black and red.
