Hello! Thanks for the improvements!
"Also, an arcade near me had F-Zero AX at some point, but when I showed up, they told me it broke down about a few months earlier." Also, dang, hope you get another chance here. Would be nice to find someone with hands on experience with this game one day haha Alex95 05:41, 15 December 2018 (UTC)

Many thanks Alex95, I remember seeing your mug on SmashWiki a number of times, and it's nice to see a familiar face here.
Yeah, it sucked I couldn't play it, but I had fun anyway. I'm hoping that it'll pop back up, since I know the (now unfortunately deceased) owner of that arcade loved to fix things up, and I'm hoping his son follows in his stead. Been two or three years since I last visited, due to pharm school, but I'll check it out again some day and maybe I can (finally) ride the wind.

"I will edit pages tens of times in rapid succession until I'm satisfied with my work. If you have a problem with this, too bad." I will have a problem with this if it does happen, btw. Just make sure it doesn't :P Alex95 06:37, 17 December 2018 (UTC)

My only guarantee is that I make no guarantees. 👌

Thanks for the better images for the F-Zero Shop and for the missing ones! My computer doesn't run emulators very well (and I'd rather play the legitimate game, anyway), so thanks for that :) Alex95 20:15, 27 December 2018 (UTC)

Edit summaries

"If you have a problem with this, too bad."
"Pisser."
"Remember kids, when you upload a jpg, you're uploading HITLER."

You're a great editor, but I'm not a fan of how you're using your edit summaries. Edit summaries should be used to describe what you changed on the page. Joking is fine, but I feel like I should say something before you go too far.

It looks like you were also told off about this on SmashWiki, and I'm not a fan of your response there, either. Your "jokes" may not appear that way to others, so do watch yourself. Alex95 06:02, 19 December 2018 (UTC)

I personally don't see any of those as particularly offensive (minus maybe the third one, but I'm a fan of hyperbolic humour), but I'll see what I can do. As for the second, well, I was getting increasing frustrated with the URL, only to discover why it was it kept crashing out of existence. Perhaps not a very professional moment, but sometimes, you just gotta vent, dig it? I'll try to avoid making such remarks, though, if that's what makes you comfortable, since we're the only two blokes around.
As for my SmashWiki talkpage post, the fact that they never bothered to provide examples didn't make me think highly of the post (which in hindsight, was incredibly shitty behaviour on my part; I was in the throes of a REALLY bad depressive episode at the time, too, which doesn't excuse my behaviour, but gives context as to why I acted the way I did). Doesn't help that I had been making edit summaries like that for literally years, had people laugh at them with me on IRC, and suddenly one person had a problem.
But hey, that's all in the past now. C'est la vie, sorry if I offended, I'll try to improve myself.

Basically, try to avoid anything potentially offensive, such as swearing or controversial topics. Those sort of things don't really have a place in edit summaries and other people can come across them should they ever look at page histories or the Recent Changes. Alex95 17:13, 19 December 2018 (UTC)
Our definition of "controversial" is going to vary especially if you browse /v/ like I do. I can certainly try to curtail it, but if you feel I've crossed a line, I'm always willing to hear it out. I don't intend to directly offend; rather, I hope to lighten the mood a bit.
As for swearing... well, I can try. But at the same time, wikis are never censored, and sometimes you just gotta vent about how, for instance, Project 64 is a jankyass piece of shit. But I guess I can try to avoid including words like that in edit summaries.
